What I’ve Learned, with Arianna Huffington
I first listened to this podcast after experiencing multiple bouts of burn out myself and after reading her book “Thrive” cover to cover over a weekend. This was the first time I heard a highly accomplished leader talk about the importance of self-care. To discuss why getting enough sleep matters. To share that we do our best thinking when walking out in nature. And that if we want to achieve greatness we must start with our health and well-being. This unlocked something really powerful in me and I’ve been on a crusade ever since, immersing myself in this teaching to create an environment for myself and my team that prioritizes the necessity of self-care. As a result, I’ve been able to drive extraordinary results with a team willing and able to go the distance; to tap into their best thinking; and to prevent burnout!

After her collapse from sleep deprivation and exhaustion in 2007, Arianna Huffington became more and more passionate about the connection between well-being and performance. In 2016, she launched Thrive to help individuals, companies, and communities improve their well-being and performance – and debunk the collective delusion that burnout is the price we must pay for success.
